After a rainy start at Pondalowie, we enjoy the spectacular view of Kangaroo Island from at Galawulgawi Ngunda Nhagu on our way to Moonta. Our sole reason for heading to Moonta is the water-based play area. Sometimes you just have to throw the kids a bone or two. They are underwhelmed but decide it could be fun. By the time we’re driving off to do the shopping, they are happily playing on the water slides.

At Port Hughes it’s still windy but the sun is out at last. It’s the kind of town that used to be sleepy until people with lots of money starting building very fancy “beach houses” there. This is our last plug-in site before we head off-grid so there is much discussion on who gets to charge what and in what order.
